Since I discovered time tracking, it has completely transformed my approach to managing my time.
I now have a clear understanding of how much time I am spending on different tasks and activities, and can easily identify where I am wasting time – (cough cough, youtube, anime, Instagram).
Time tracking has helped me to become much more productive and efficient, as well as better prioritizing my tasks. I now have a better understanding of how much time I spend on work-related tasks, which has allowed me to better manage my workload and meet deadlines. Overall, time tracking has been a life-changing tool for me, and I would recommend it to anyone looking to improve their time management skills.
I made the decision to commit 30 hours, give or take a few, to personal development in December of the last year 2022. To level up my dev skills, work on my portfolio, or anything I wanted to learn. Just 30 hours for the week on general growth, and try and stick with it.
It turns out I did 136 hours and 7 minutes on personal growth. All those hours went into, redesigning my portfolio from scratch, organizing and adding some previous projects, improving my GitHub, LinkedIn, and resume, and getting up to date on what’s some of the changes happening in the dev world.
By tracking that time I now have a better understanding of how long it should take me to do various tasks. It has also improved my ability to estimate how long it would take to complete projects or any work-related tasks. My productivity also skyrocketed during that time. I really do see the benefits.
